What am I supposed to do, pour Pepsi on my cereal?

Without milk, we will die in the next snowstorm.

Didn't you just have a major snowstorm? January 3rd, which was last week, right?

Speaking of treadmills....

My local store was completely SOLD OUT of Goldfish crackers!!! WTF am I supposed to do??

But I heard that omicron is less severe than Delta!

I bought a case of UHT lactose free milk last year because I figured more specialty items would be the most likely to be affected by these kinds of shortages. Supposedly they're only good for 6-9 months but mine are stored in the basement and tasted fine at double that.

Many grocery store checkout counters have conveyor belts. In theory, those could be used as treadmills.

Not my problem. I stopped eating years ago

Looks like there's plenty of chocolate milk, which is great for recovery after a workout and delicious on Cookie Crisp.

The USA is borked so hard. I have no idea how they expect to fullfill their treaty obligations and protect Ukraine. Trump handed the whole world to Russia and China, and properly farked Biden (with the GOP's continued coup).

Almost nobody is talking about undocumented workers in the labor shortage. We know that the unemployment benefit explanation is false. We know that 90% of the excess job quits are age 56+ who are now retired rather than seeking a better job. Those jobs are being filled by people who quit crappier jobs. It's perfectly reasonable for teens to not want to enter the job market in this plague era - better to continue education. For every three undocumented workers who leave a job now, one enters. What are the jobs? Food. Trucking. Why aren't the republicans bragging about their great success in saving American jobs for Americans?

Gee, I don't remember shortages like this when I was younger.

Oh, that's right, that's before developers build suburban sprawl, and wiped out all the farms that used to feed the city, and now it's got to be brought from a continent away....

I was expecting armageddon when the grocery store called me and said my Tuesday evening curbside wouldn't be ready and come back Wednesday afternoon.  But the wait ended up not being that bad, the unavailable items ended being smaller than I expected, and they replaced a 6oz bag of pistachios with a 12oz bag for the same price!

Saw this in the Cedar Park, TX Costco.

Not sure if it's a good or bad indicator but they're ready for another TP panic.

I couldn't buy saltine crackers. Two stores had none. That was a random thing to be missing. It also makes me believe the store brand and name brand come from the same factory.

I don't know nationwide what the issues are but here in Kentucky shortages are rare. Maybe it's snow. Another article I read said that if you're region is dependent upon immigrant labor you're going to hurt. The wages of anti-immigrant sentiment is death.

We don't know this at all.   It is just as likely that a Gen Xer quit and a retired Boomer is picking up the slack by working parttime to augment their income.

It is less severe. Those people are sick at home, instead of dying on a ventilator at a hospital.

Perhaps I should have added some sarcasm tags, or noted that I was mocking clueless jackholes.

I am extremely pissed off about the way we as a people have decided to apparently treat omicron.

Ive had the same problem with fritos brand name or store brand. Like is the machines being serviced or what

I counted 40 gallons of gallon milk in that top picture. That's the gallon jugs only. Looked like a wide variety of half gallons including chocolate. Stay safe, okay.

Me? Instead of baby bok choy for the stir fry tonight I had to buy a whole large bok choy instead. And the basil had a wilted leaf in the package.

I don't know about you but I'm tired of living like a Jew in the Holocaust and am ready to vote for any Republican forever.

I'm trying to figure out why 6 people funnied this? The USA has basic supply chain issues so that they don't even have milk on their store shelves throughout the country, a year after Texas and Arizona had tens of thousands more people using food banks than they ever had before. Trump broke the country at every level and Biden is unable to fix it because of the coup. It's kind of despairing and awful.

Don't take it personally. Fark doesn't have a 'I disagree with you and I'm too farking stupid to make a coherent argument, so I'll just funny you and masturbate furiously into an old sock' button

Dearest Martha,

No one is talking about the real situation at hand. Canned cat food rations have been in short supply for months, not weeks. I return daily so often empty handed from storming Chewy.com in a most valiant effort to procure for my beloved girls the proper and approved nutritious flavors they insist upon. I cannot bear the thought that little Lena should be without her Turkey with Homestyle Gravy and Garden Greens she holds in such high esteem. She is but a tiny sprite as it is. It is no better in the Targét Valley, for when we have ventured long over land to reach their main supply depot, it, too, yielded us empty shelves. The Colonel is making strategic plans to raid the highly guarded Market of Wall, but I don't hold out much hope, as their ships, too have been much delayed. Please hold tight, my darling hearts, I hope to return victorious one day soon. And, then, perhaps, the little ones shall once again cease their constant singing of the refrain of the song of their ancestors.

Yours Truly, MC

Begoggle: My local store was completely SOLD OUT of Goldfish crackers!!! WTF am I supposed to do??

My store stopped selling 4 lb containers of Tang. DAMN YOU COVID!

I'm one of those inefficient types that stops at a grocery store at least every other day and only buys what I need then and there, and I frequent several different grocery stores, including an upscale one with a Wolfgang Puck pizza counter, a low scale one that's annoying and only ever has one manned checkout line open, and a nice Korean one that smells like fish but will fry your fish to go and they have roasted ducks hanging on hooks.

None of them have empty shelves that I've seen.  Sure, maybe one flavor of your favorite brand of ice cream won't be in until Monday, but that's about it.  Is it only the frozen wasteland of middle America that has these shortages?

I'm guessing those six people aren't American's and are somewhat bemused that "the greatest country in the world" doesn't live up to the incessant hubris it's spewed since the end of WWII.

Oh and Trump didn't break the country. The country was already broken; Trump was just the consequence of that.
